
KELLY GREY CARLISLE is the author of We Are All Shipwrecks, which received starred reviews from Library Journal and Shelf Awareness. Her essays have appeared in Salon, Ploughshares, New England Review, The Sun, Cherry Tree, The Rumpus, River Teeth, Tampa Review, and The Touchstone Anthology of Contemporary Creative Nonfiction, and have been listed as notable essays four times in Best American Essays. Travels for the book took her across the country, including book stores and college campuses, as well as the Dr. Oz Show and the Nebraska State Penitentiary. She is an associate professor of English at Trinity University in San Antonio, where she is currently at work on a book about Durham Cathedral, an 11th century cathedral church in the Northeast of England.
